Treasury Of British Comics To Produce Special FCBD Issue

Rebellion Publishing have been delighting vintage comic book fans with their reprints from their Egmont/Fleetway/IPC acquisition for a couple of years now, rereleasing beloved classics like Scream, Misty, Black Max (from Thunder), Charley’s War (from Battle) and many more (not to mention creating some brand new stories featuring beloved characters too).

Today they announced that their Treasury Of British Comics will join in the Free Comic Book Day fun with a 32-page print edition featuring reprints of stories from their vast back catalogue of “funnies” such as Krazy, Shiver & Shake, Jet, Monster Fun, Whizzer & Chips and many more. Characters we’ll see making a return include Gums, Faceache, Birdman & Chicken , Sweeny Toddler, Grimly Fiendish, Prambo, X-Ray Specs, Kid Kong, Ivor Lott & Tony Broke and Deadley Headley.

And if the apparently as-yet-incomplete cover is anything to go by it looks like Buster, Sid’s Snake and The Krazy Gang will also be appearing, not to mention Shiver & Shake’s Frankie Stein, who features front and centre!

Free Comic Book Day 2019 is on Saturday 4th May – visit the FCBD website for more information on the event and to find out if your local comic book store is participating.
